Acivir dispersible tablet 400 mg contains the active ingredient aciclovir, which belongs to the group of medicines known as Antivirals. It kills the virus or stops the growth of the virus.

It is active against two common viral infestations, herpes simplex (HSV) types I and II and varicella-zoster virus.
