Description
Benzonatate Capsule is an antitussive drug. It is used for the treatment of dry cough. It works by suppressing the activity of the cough centre in the brain. It provides you relief from symptoms like watery eyes, sneezing, and runny nose. Benzonatate Capsule can be taken with or without food, but take it at the same time to get the most benefit. It should be taken as your doctor’s advice. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. You should take this drug for as long as it is prescribed for you. You must inform your doctor if symptoms do not get improved within 7 days of the treatment. The most common side effects of this drug include vomiting, nausea, constipation, dizziness, shortness of breath or worsening preexisting breath problem, and rash. If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them. Generally, it is advised to drink plenty of fluids while on treatment with this drug. To overcome dizziness, avoid driving or attention-seeking activities. Before taking this medicine, let your doctor know if you are pregnant, or breastfeeding. Your doctor should also know about all other drugs you are taking as many of these may make this drug less effective or change the way it works.

Lupin’s Benz Pearls Capsule usually starts to work within a few minutes and the effects can last up to several hours. Take it as prescribed by the doctor. Do not stop using it unless you are advised to by your doctor.
