Fintop cream is a topical treatment for patients with a variety of fungal skin infections such as athlete’s foot, jock itch, and ringworm. It contains the active ingredient antifungal agent, Butenafine hydrochloride, which belongs to the class of drugs known as antifungals. The class of drugs works well to prevent the growth of fungus. The antifungal preparation is also useful in treating tinea versicolor, also called pityriasis, a fungal infection that causes darkening of the skin of the arms, chest, and legs. The topical drug is for external use only. If irritation occurs on applying the medication, discontinue treatment and talk to your dermatologist. Your dermatologist will prescribe appropriate therapy that helps you to get rid of the fungal infection.
| HowToUse | Apply Fintop cream on the skin only. Clean and dry the area to be treated with topical medication. A pea-size amount is sufficient to apply on and around the affected area. Gently rub in the medicine usually 1 to 2 times daily as instructed by your dermatologist. If you are not sure about how much or how often you need to apply to get rid of the fungal infection, please don’t hesitate to speak to your dermatologist. If you got a prescription for Butenafine HCL cream, then follow the guidelines given on your prescription. Check with your dermatologist if you are uncertain about any information regarding the usage of the medicine. Wash your hands after each application. Do not cover the treated area with bandage or clothing unless directed by your doctor. Do not let the medication get into your eyes, mouth, or inside the vagina.
